1st taste of league action!
October 6, 2006 – Well the season has started and the Yarmouth Trinav Admirals soon realized that games can’t be won from the penalty box. Barrington started off strong scoring 3 goals in the first period, and then Roger Williams scored an unassisted goal for the Admirals cutting the gap to just two goals in the third period.
Kyle Boudreau was in net and stopped 42 of the 48 shots he faced.
The penalty bug took a big bite from the team throughout the game, and Barrington scored 3 unanswered goals in the third period.
Final 6-1 Ice Dogs over the Admirals.
Coach Bob Gavel feels that it was a learning experience and the players will adjust to the new rules, and the team will be stronger in their next game!

September 11 , 2006 - Back in the 'C' loop
After a one year leave of absence the Yarmouth Tri-Nav Admirals (formerly Raiders) are returning to the ice for the 2006-07 Nova Scotia Jr 'C' Hockey season. The League is comprised of 9 teams with 2 divisions. Yarmouth will play in the 4 team West Division with Clare, Barrington and the Valley ( Digby). While the 5 team Central Division will have teams from Halifax, North Shore, Parrsboro, New Waterford, and Colchester (Brookfield). The league will play a 24 game regular season. Teams will play the majority of their games within their division. Having only to travel to the other divisions rinks only once.
Team General Manager Darren Thibeau likes the fact that overall travel is very minimal. "With this age group many players are also busy balancing school and work commitments. With the exception of the 2 or 3 trips that we'll have to make to play the Central division, Digby will be our farthest opponent."
"There has been more buzz around the league already this year because the League winner will travel to Nunavut to play in the Maritime And Hockey North Championships . We have a core group of returning players coming back this year, and we are even more excited about the new younger players coming in."
"Every year this league seems to get better, Especially with regards to the overall talent level. More kids are playing this hockey because its more affordable and the commitment is easy with relation to the schedule"
Bob Gavel will take over as teams head coach, " I look forward to having Bob with the team, as he has a strong background with coaching at the Midget Hockey levels and is experienced in helping to organize the best team possible."
"Our team is also very pleased to welcome our new team sponsor Tri-Nav Marine Brokers. Their support will go along way in the success of our team."
